The International Court of Justice decided that the construction of the wall being built by Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and its associated régime, are contrary to international law. This case constitutes a landmark in international human rights law, as the ICJ provided valuable interpretations and criteria on the application of the ICCPR.
